I'd been working from a home office and had been doing virtual coaching online for about two years when COVID hit, and the world turned upside down. So my WFH office life was pretty much the same, minus some business travel. But, like everyone else, my personal life went poof. Of course, social lives were zapped, but the day-to-day like grocery shopping, hair cuts, nails, and MY LASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENTS were gone. When I look back, it seems so trivial, but this personal thing really jolted me. Luckily, my crazy marketing brain went over drive, and I found a way to poke some fun at myself and laugh my way through 47 days battling sucky strip lashes. Seriously they usually looked like two spiders having an MMA fight. Ultimately while fussing with these f-ers in the mirror every morning, I had nothing better to do but come up with a funny way to talk about marketing.
